Ori Levin


Ori Levin was born in Jerusalem in 1982.

Levin graduated from the Film and Television department in Tel Aviv University magna cum laude (with distinction) {m.a, 2009-2011} and from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design {m.f.a, 2010-2012}. She is currently a P.H.D student at the Tel Aviv University, Film and Television department.

Solo exhibitions include: Staircase Wit, Haifa Museum of Art, Haifa, Israel (2012) and Tit for Tat, Kayma Gallery, Jaffa, Israel (2011). Group exhibitions include: New acquisitions, The Israel Museum, Jerusalem, Israel (2014), RISING STAR, Herzlia Museum of Contemporary Art, Herzlia, Israel (2014), Loop art fair, Barcelona, Spain (2013), L'appartement d'un collectionneur, Gallery Métropolis, Paris, France (2013), il(L) Machine, Ars Campus, Ars electronica, Linz, Austria (2013), Histories, The Israeli Center for Digital Arts, Holon, Israel (2013), Real Matters, The Artists’ Studios - Art Cube, Jerusalem, Israel (2013).

Levin has received grants from the American-Israel Cultural Foundation and the Art Department of Tel Aviv University. Levin teaches video art, avant-gard film and  film theory at Tel Aviv University. She also teaches about memory, trauma and fantasy in contemporary American cinema at the Open University.
