Four used reinforced doors stand perpendicular to each other creating a closed. square space, a kind of stairwell with no stairs. This space becomes a prison of sorts, inaccessible, but viewable through the peepholes placed in every direction. On the inside, the doors are decorated with magnets and flyers advertising plumbers and pick locks. The neighbors' doors and the stairwell usually considered to be "outside" and public, now become a kind of closed private space. Like in any regular apartment building, the light in the "stairwell" turns on and off alternately.
