START is proud to present a solo booth of protégé artist Amir Nave
"The Body is a Bag of Needs" creates a parallel between the restraints of society and the individual's yearning for freedom and the sublime. Nave portrays exhausted and bleeding figures against the backdrop of the Israeli landscape. His subjects are confused intertwined bodies, eternally bound together in a mutual fate. Immersed in their flesh and blood, the figures are heavy. While they long for the sublime their earthly bodies trap them in the midst of a conflict where existential darkness meets metaphysical salvation.
