“It was produced during a period where I was looking for strength. This story resonated with me because of my recent experience with how necessary choices were not the easy choices. From day one, Israel was a place of unstoppable change. It surfaced everything that wanted to stay hidden and this painting is a reflection of this acceptance. While painting Jacob and Angel, I knew I was not in control. It is a unique piece in the sense that I know that in technique, style and working process, a new door has opened.” Ruben Pang
